Lisabeth Mertins has been creating commercial art for newspapers, magazines and books for a number of years. You may recognize her work from the Orange County Register where she was a staff illustrator. As a visual journalist, she explored mediums from oil and watercolor painting to stone carving and computer generated work in order to illustrate stories pertinent to the lives of Orange County residents.
She has been exploring the art of printmaking since 2009 as a reaction to the increased mechanization of her work within a commercial context. In an effort to express the tactile and timeless effect of ink on paper and muscle behind a press — to show the humanity of the art making process, she has reached to the roots of herself as an artist.
Music Box Mixer Up shows the spirit of how transformative music has been in her life and continues to motivate her art. The restaurant mixer will include wine tasting and a special tasting menu.

Priscilla Willis aka “She’s Cookin” is a local food blogger residing in Huntington Beach. She’s Cookin’ strives to bring you fresh, seasonal, family-friendly recipes that are nutritious and simple to prepare – designed specifically for busy parents and professionals. Her aim is to encourage you to eat at home more often and demonstrate some love in that old-fashioned way: a tasty, home-cooked meal. We are pleased to welcome back Executive Chef Mark Avila who has wined a dined us three times before with his incredible food. Customers who were lucky enough to enjoy his sold out wine dinners at The Alley in Newport Beach are still talking about his menus. With 13 years of culinary experience under his belt he is a seasoned pro and a local alleycat to boot.
Our evening would not be complete without some delish vino courtesy of Southern Wine & Spirits. We will have a wine tasting station with a few different wine selections to sample and choose from.
We are pleased to welcome back our two man band Josh Graves and Dan Atkinson as our featured musicians. Together their music is a show stopper. Our alleycats really enjoy when these two get together and harmonize so we are pleased to have them back.
